Job Description

The long-term Elementary Substitute Teacher would be responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students within the school during the teacher's absence. They will follow the curriculum as provided by the principal or the absent teacher, assign homework and oversee attendance.Essential FunctionsParticipate in the active supervision of students at all times.Oversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacher.Follow daily routine of teacher and fill in for duties outside the classroom such as morning drop-off or pick-up as needed.Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff and administration.Interact effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.Position QualificationsDegree in Elementary Education preferred.Current MSDE certification preferred.Knowledge of child development and supervision.Experience teaching in an elementary school setting.Pay Range: $16.00, Hourly Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits*To be considered for a teaching opportunity and to assist with determining compensation, the following documentation is required to be uploaded with your application: Resume, application certifications, licensures (PEL), transcripts, and reference contact information.
