Shop Welder QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or Equivalent * Technical School/Vocational Training * Troubleshooting skills VALUED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * AWS/ASME Welding Certificates * Welding Apprenticeship Program * Heavy construction industry experience a plus DESCRIPTION: Gaines and Company, founded in 1954, is a well-established residential and commercial site developer seeking a shop welder with an emphasis on heavy equipment maintenance and repair. A welder is expected to have a postsecondary degree in a welding apprenticeship program or similar training. Welder to repair and/or fabricate various components used in heavy construction equipment. Experience in welding required with the ability to work with various types of metals such as steel, aluminum and alloys. Experience with heavy construction equipment is a plus. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and will work under the supervision of the Equipment Manager.
