St. Mary's High School has an immediate need for substitute teachers for grades 9-12. The substitute teacher would be responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students within the school during the teacher's absence. Essential Functions:Actively supervise students at all timesRespond to all parent communication in a timely mannerWork collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administrationOversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacherFollow the daily routine of the teacher and fill in for duties outside the classroom, such as morning drop-off or pick-up, as neededWork collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff, and administrationInteract effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.Position Qualifications:Degree in education preferred.Current MSDE certification preferred.Knowledge of child development and supervision.Experience teaching in an elementary school setting.Pay Range: $15.00, Hourly Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
