Tax Manager

We are a mid-sized public accounting firm looking to hire a qualified Tax Manager! A CPA is preferred but not required in this role. You will be involved in the the preparation and filing of corporate and individual tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing strategic tax planning and advice to clients. This role is critical to maintaining our firm's reputation for excellence in tax services and helping clients minimize their tax liabilities while adhering to all legal requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and review the preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships including Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.Develop and implement tax strategies and provide expert advice on tax-related matters to clients.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and laws.Conduct tax research and stay updated on legislative changes affecting taxation.Lead and mentor a team of tax accountants, providing training and guidance as necessary.Prepare and present tax planning strategies to clients, helping them to understand their tax obligations and opportunities for savings.Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for tax-related inquiries.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and planning.Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, especially for Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with clients and team members.
