Dynamic Real Estate Development firm in the Galleria areaOpportunity to work on large projects while in a smaller entrepreneurial settingAbout Our ClientReal Estate Developer with great projects in the Houston market.Job DescriptionReporting to the Controller in this newly created role of Assistant Controller you will a number of hats but will have primary responsibility overseeing the accounting and financial management of multiple development projects as well as the Company.Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management review.Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations.Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits.Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to achieve departmental goals.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
