Preserve WV AmeriCorps The Preserve WV AmeriCorps program gives you the chance to make a real difference by helping small museums, historic sites, and community organizations in West Virginia protect and share their history. As a member, you'll build skills in historic preservation, education, and community engagement while supporting organizations that keep West Virginia's stories alive for future generations. Member Duties : The service duties assigned to the member will be based on individual site and community needs and, in many cases, will incorporate a variety of skills. Members' tasks will involve: - Capacity Building services such as plan and coordinate cultural heritage events; recruit, train, manage volunteers; create educational programs; complete National Register nominations; marketing and communications outreach; artifact conservation; and hands-on historic preservation.
