Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's manufacturing and distribution team in the Lansdale, Pennsylvania area. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting general accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, organizational expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial insights. Responsibilities: - Prepare monthly financial reports and provide detailed analysis to support decision-making. - Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations. - Maintain and reconcile accounting records and general ledger in alignment with corporate policies. - Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy, resolving discrepancies and communicating findings to the team. - Develop, generate, and distribute financial reports to meet organizational needs. - Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports for auditors. - Manage tax filings, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and compliance with customer resale exemption certificates. - Ensure accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payment preparation. - Participate in government survey reporting requirements and contribute to miscellaneous tax compliance efforts. - Handle vendor communication and set up new vendor accounts as needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting, accounts payable, or tax-related roles (internship experience counts). - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. - Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. - Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return processes. - Experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations. - Knowledge of Oracle or similar financial systems is preferred.
