This job is REMOTE.FTE: 1.000000Standard Hours: 40.00Shift: Shift 1Job Summary:The IP Coding Coordinator collaborates with management to ensure the highest coder quality through a variety of responsibilities. These include oversight and participation in the internal and external quality reviews as outlined in the HIM Coding Department Compliance Plan and supported by Official Coding Guidelines and the internal inpatient coding guidelines. The IP Coding Coordinator is assigned specific duties in one or more of the major areas of responsibility listed below. In addition this position monitors coding workflows and work queues for timely and accurate completion of charts while troubleshooting issues that cause delays in chart completion. Other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Two to four years Inpatient Coding Experience is required. Inpatient coding experience in an academic medical facility is preferred. Five plus years Inpatient Coding Experience is preferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Associates degree in HIM or equivalent is required. Appropriate education or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis of three years of progressively responsible inpatient coding experience in an academic medical facility.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Successfully uses EPIC, 3M products and Microsoft Office software.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Certified RHIA/RHIT and/or CCS are required within 6 months of hire.Compensation, Benefits & Perks at Froedtert Health Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $26.56 - $45.44.
