CNC Machinist

A growing industrial metal manufacturing company in Hilliard, OH is seeking a seasoned 1st Shift CNC Machinist to join its production team! This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow with a dynamic and quality-focused team! This is a Contract-to-Hire, 90 Days. Schedule is 1st shift, 6:00AM-2:30PM with OT, typically available on weekends. Weekend shift Hours: 6:00AM - 6:30PM. Pay rate is $27.50- 30/hr based on experience. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for machine setup and operation for part processing and ensuring quality standards. Responsibilities: - Set up and operate CNC machinery to support production needs - Review incoming material to confirm it meets required quality standards - Perform calibration and verification of measurement tools and gauges - Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications - Carry out routine machine care and assist maintenance staff with repairs when needed - Manage scrap material by handling remnants and optimizing reuse - Safely operate a sit-down or side-loader forklift for material movement as required - Accurately complete documentation and enter work order confirmations in SAP for shipping/receiving activities - Perform additional tasks as directed; responsibilities may be adjusted as business needs evolve Apply now! - MUST have experience (min. 1 year) with a Mazak machining center (CNC machine tool) - Must be secure in their knowledge and readily able to write a program from print to make parts. - Must complete and pass an aptitude evaluation covering areas such as reading comprehension, mathematics, measurement/inspection, problem solving, and attention to detail - At least four years of experience in a comparable role is strongly preferred - Ability to apply basic math skills in daily work - Comfortable with computers and able to perform basic computer functions - New hires will take part in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their orientation and training process Trillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
