MEDICAL ASSISTANT - GENERAL MEDICAL CONSULTANTS INC.Travel Required to: New Albany, Granville, ZanesvilleEDUCATION: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification/degree (preferred) and high school diploma or GED required. Prefer current BLS certification.RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet patients and escort them to clinical areasConduct patient visit interview: confirm purpose of visit, review and record patient medical history, review medication listObtain patient vital; when indicated complete EKGs, venipuncture and gather urine specimenDocument all communications in clear and concise manner, and in compliance with professional standards Maintain supplies and equipmentPerform cleaning and stocking of clinical supplies in lab and exam roomObtain lab results and clinical notes/dictationsPost-appointment patient follow-up including verification of completed diagnostic testing and medication changesAnswer and triage incoming phone calls; communicate physician recommendations and/or report test results via phone; call in prescriptionsPatient schedulingFront office duties as needed: greet patients and visitors, collect insurance information, process copays or other paymentsAssist other team members with patient careQUALIFICATIONS:Prior medical office experience preferredExcellent patient service skills and phone etiquetteExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work successfully as a team member and autonomouslyAttention to detailAbility to multitaskStrong problem-solving skillsCompetitive wages.Exceptional benefit package and 401k plan available to all full-time employees.
