Pharmacy Technician - ImmunizationsWashington, DCPay From : $20 per hourMUST:The Pharmacy Technician will have experience with:Working with insurance companies3rd party insurance experienceFollowing up with clients on rejected claimsMust have strong organization skillsStrong attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsWell versed in processing and resolving prior authorizations and other insurance rejectionsAble to read and process prescriptionsExperience with speaking to health care providersExcellent customer service experienceDUTIES:The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Supports pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medicationsHelps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacistMaintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugsMaintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsProtects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocolsOrganizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities; assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapiesMaintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptionsGenerates revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing chargesEnsures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departmentsPrepares reports by collecting and summarizing informationContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
