Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to work as a generalist in our laboratory. The role involves performing tasks in chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, blood banking (providing blood for transfusions), and phlebotomy. Responsibilities * Perform laboratory tests in chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, and blood banking. * Provide blood for transfusions as needed. * Conduct phlebotomy procedures. * Ensure accurate and timely test results. Essential Skills * Bachelor's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or biological science. * Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with ASCP. * At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with blood banking responsibilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience with EPIC is preferred. Work Environment This position requires working from 10pm to 8am, Monday through Thursday, alongside a shift from 11:15pm to 6am. Occasionally, you may be asked to cover a Friday shift, but if so, you will not work the following Monday. Availability to cover shifts during Thanksgiving and Christmas is highly preferred, although not mandatory. Training will be conducted over 2-3 weeks during the first shift from 6:30am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Stillwater, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
