Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Job Description Administer nursing care to an assigned group of patients based on physician's orders and the Nursing Care Plan. Consult with a Registered Nurse to plan patient care and perform a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties, including data collection. Responsibilities + Perform nursing skills appropriate for the patient population. + Demonstrate sound knowledge base appropriate to the specialty area considering patient's age and bio-psychosocial needs. + Gather data, implement, and evaluate care for an assigned group of patients based on physician's orders and the Nursing Care Plan. + Take and note physician's orders accurately. + Consult with a Registered Nurse to plan patient care. + Document data on the appropriate record. + Document nursing process/care clearly, consistently, and accurately. + Address patient problems and progress toward outcomes. + Facilitate patient teaching and implement discharge planning. + Make appropriate referrals. + Follow plan of care per policy considering patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors. + Support unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities. + Attend mandatory in-services and meet unit education standards. + Accurately complete variance reports. + Modify behaviors or performance to comply with care standards and unit requirements. + Work directly with patients and/or customers. + Work with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. + Work with external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. + Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff. Essential Skills + Zero (0) to six (6) months of related experience. + Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways. + Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. + Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. + Detail-oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Completed LPN degree. Work Environment Shifts depend on location and may vary between 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., or 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., including 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
