Job Title: Phlebotomist - Buford Job Description As a phlebotomist, you will be responsible for accurately obtaining blood samples through venipuncture and capillary collection procedures, ensuring minimum discomfort for patients. You will provide care to a wide age range of patients, from infants to geriatrics. Your role will ensure specimen integrity by strictly adhering to laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing. Responsibilities + Draw blood and process samples, ensuring accurate and efficient collection. + Manage patient information by collecting insurance details, scanning insurance cards, and updating patient demographics. + Enter billing codes and process specimens, including spinning down samples and sending them to the appropriate labs. + Utilize software systems for specimen processing, printing shipping labels, and boxing specimens for send-outs. + Maintain excellent customer service while interacting with patients. Essential Skills + Proficiency in venipuncture and phlebotomy techniques in a clinical or hospital setting. + Minimum of 3+ years of phlebotomy experience. + Certified Phlebotomist with a phlebotomy certification is a plus + Good customer service skills. + Experience in data entry and laboratory procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Outpatient clinic/IOP experience is preferred. + Experience in outpatient settings, including draws and processing. Work Environment The position operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. You will work alongside another phlebotomist at the Buford location. The role serves a diverse patient population, primarily adults, with a typical workload of approximately 30 blood draws per day. The position does not require weekend work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buford, Georgia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
