The Global Manufacturing Architecture and Advanced Program Feasibility Team acts on early insights with the Product Development Team to optimize all aspects of new model production. As part of this team, you will interact with Product Development, Material Planning and Logistics, Operations and the Manufacturing Core organizations to deliver the following as it relates to Body Construction Engineering. The Global Manufacturing Architecture and Advanced Program Feasibility Team acts on early insights with the Product Development Team to optimize all aspects of new model production. As part of this team, you will interact with Product Development, Material Planning and Logistics, Operations and the Manufacturing Core organizations to deliver the following as it relates to Body Construction Engineering. Core Responsibilities and Focus Areas: * Develop, specify, purchase, install, start-up, and commission body assembly tooling and facilities. * Develop and deliver body construction assembly processes * Deliver manufacturing feasibility for body construction; including reviewing product designs and concepts to ensure adhere to our engineering requirements and to improve quality, labor and tooling delivery. * Analyze and quantify the manufacturing and facility impact to launch new model including facility, tooling, labor and quality. * Ensure dimensionally in-spec parts to body fit and finish. * Support the virtual manufacturing assembly builds to identify, detect and resolve issues. * Drive the resolution of manufacturing issues, track open tooling and process issues to closure, and spearhead quality, cost, and labor improvements within the body construction domain. * Support new model launch which includes: travel, standing, and walking in a plant environment to ensure smooth implementation of body construction processes.
