OverviewCMTA, 1800 Washington Blvd, Baltimore, Maryland, United States of AmericaCMTA, a Legence company, is looking for an experienced Engineer to help expand our Maryland market. The Energy Solutions division of CMTA is the fastest growing division of our large and growing company. The successful candidate is typically a self-motivated individual that thrives on helping clients and has the technical background to be involved and lead all phases of our work.The Senior Engineer leads all aspects of performance contracts for our clients, from conception to completion, and serves as the primary point of contact throughout all phases. In addition to technical leadership, this role plays a key part in identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to CMTA’s business growth.ResponsibilitiesIntroduce and explain performance contracting to potential clients, identifying opportunities where CMTA’s solutions can provide long-term value.Articulate how and why CMTA is unique in our approach to performance contracting, reinforcing our value proposition in both technical and financial terms.Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business, referrals, and long-term partnerships.Participate in business development efforts including client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.Lead the development phase including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.Direct the engineering design team in producing drawings and specifications.Direct the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.Collaborate with the client to finalize the performance contract.Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.Direct the commissioning process to validate performance.Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.Work with the Measurement & Verification (M&V) professional to develop the first-year M&V report.Demonstrate knowledge of Maryland K-12 design-build procurement processes, ensuring alignment with state and district requirements.Required ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm.Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.Desired SkillsBusiness DevelopmentClient Relationship ManagementFamiliarity with MarylandK-12 Design-Build ProcurementManagementConstructionEnergyHVAC DesignAuditingConsultingWe are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this position.#LI-OS1 #LI-OnsiteAbout LegenceLegence, a Blackstone Portfolio Company, is North America’s leading, integrated provider of energy efficiency and sustainability solutions for the built environment.
