OverviewAriadne is searching for aSoftware Developerin Bioinformatics and Big Data to support our work at the National Institutes of Health. This opportunity is full time and onsite at the NIH in Bethesda, MD and/or remote work.Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for the development, implementation, testing, and continued maintenance of NCBI bioinformatics software and information retrieval systemsWork with a diverse group of scientists, bioinformaticians and other developers across the center to implement efficient bioinformatics algorithmsLearn new technologies, keep up with internal systems, and share your knowledge with the teamRequired qualifications:5+ years of experience handling large amounts of data or working in a distributed computing environmentProgramming experience in a Linux environmentProficiency in C++Experience with MS SQL server and relational database design and optimizationFluency in some scripting languages such as BASH, csh, Perl, or PythonPreferred qualifications:5+ years of working with genetic and biological dataProficiency in Python and/orJavaScript and familiarity with their associated ecosystemsExperience with MongoDB or other NoSQL database technologyExperience withDocker or other containerization mechanismsExperience with CI/CD pipelines,unit testing, integration and regression testingExperience using GitHubExperience with Cloud technologies a strong plusWe look forward to reviewing your application.Click Apply button now! #J-18808-Ljbffr
