The position provides an opportunity to work with experienced, interdisciplinary teams to develop or modify test systems in order to meet the challenging test requirements of our business partners and customers.The engineering function of Boeing Test and Evaluation El Segundo (BT&E-ES) creates automated test systems and the hardware products used by our test operations teams onsite and at satellite launches. For test systems and hardware products, our group is accountable for all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, requirements and design, integration, test, verification and product maintenance.We are searching for candidates that value the skills development that occurs when working a variety of diverse assignments, alongside system architects and electrical engineers in a collaborative team environment. Engineers must maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various software products; develop detailed designs of varying levels of complexity for special test equipment (STE); conduct various methods of testing and verification of special test equipment (STE); provide engineering support and change control throughout the lifecycle of delivered products; and implement Model Based Engineering (MBE).Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-level and Senior Level Software Engineers.ResponsibilitiesDevelops code and integrates complex software components into a fully functional systemDevelops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executes the test procedures and documents test results to ensure software system requirements are metExercises critical thinking and innovative problem solvingAnalyzes and supports factory support issues related to software/hardware integrationDevelop test architecture for software products (Test Executives, T&C Engine, Tools)Develops and executes software project and process plans, implements policies and proceduresDevelop new interfaces for new instruments and systems in C, C+, C#, Angular/React, .NET and other object-oriented languagesEnhance test case architecture for Bus and RF product testingBuild software environment for testing in the factory and oversee smooth execution of testingBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer scienceExperience working in full software development life-cycleExperience in software programming with C, C++, C#, Angular/React, .NET coding, debugging and developmentExperience in shell scripting languages including PythonExperience developing verification requirements, verification plans and test proceduresPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)Level 4: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceActive Top-Secret Security ClearanceExperience in Object Oriented Application DevelopmentKnowledge of telemetry and command formats, timing requirements for satellite communication and processingFamiliarity with Model-Based Engineering (MBE) and/or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including experience in a configuration-managed environment and compliance with standardsKnowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) measurements and testingOther InformationDrug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees may be tested for specified substances when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits: Boeing offers a Total Rewards package including competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities, plus eligible benefit programs (health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off).
