This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a hands-on, strategic executive partner with a new-to-market team and drive a full marketing reset—from brand positioning and community engagement to demand generation and pipeline performance.This leader will evolve GridGain’s messaging from feature/function-based to solution- and use-case-oriented narratives, build the foundational team, and help shape an integrated customer journey that accelerates awareness, adoption, and revenue growth.What You’ll OwnProduct Marketing & Content StrategyBuild a scalable product marketing function that enables sales, articulates business value, and supports new product introductionsDrive the creation of solution- and persona-based content across all funnel stages, supporting both awareness and conversionMessaging & PositioningOwn and evolve GridGain’s brand and solution messaging—from infrastructure-heavy jargon to differentiated, problem/solution value propositionsLead a messaging transformation grounded in real customer use cases and aligned with a solutions-selling frameworkServe as a visible evangelist for GridGain at events, in media, and across digital channelsDemand Generation & Pipeline ImpactArchitect an integrated demand generation engine aligned to long-cycle enterprise salesOwn MQL-to-SQL pipeline rigor, attribution clarity, and alignment with Sales through all funnel stagesDefine and execute campaigns targeting both new logo acquisition and expansion within enterprise accountsCommunity & Open Source EngagementReinvigorate GridGain’s connection to the Apache Ignite user base, driving OSS-to-commercial interest and community activationPartner with Developer Relations to grow GridGain’s presence within open-source and engineering communitiesTeam Leadership & Org BuildingBuild and lead a high-performing team across product marketing, demand Gen, content, and communityRecruit and develop talent with deep domain and technical empathyCollaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align go-to-market executionIdeal Candidate ProfileMarketing leadership in high-growth B2B software companies—ideally in databases, distributed systems, or software infrastructureProven experience as a VP or CMO; not a first-timer.
