OverviewPediatric Hospitalist, Assistant/Associate ProfessorPosting DetailsPosition InformationJob Title: Pediatric Hospitalist, Assistant/Associate ProfessorDepartment: Pediatrics - 31550Pay Grade: 1Job Category: College of Medicine FacultyEast Tennessee State University ( ETSU ) Department of Pediatrics and Medical Education Assistance Corporation ( MEAC ), in conjunction with Ballad Health, seeks a qualified Pediatric Hospitalist to join a dynamic team of hospitalists.ResponsibilitiesProvide nursery and pediatric services at Johnston Memorial Hospital, with potential to provide newborn care at regional Ballad hospitals in addition to Niswonger Children’s Hospital.Engage in quality improvement and patient safety volvement with medical student and resident education.Willingness to perform circumcisions.Collaborate with a team within a network that includes obstetric services, a busy general emergency room, and a small pediatric floor.Experience and QualificationsDemonstrated skill in inpatient pediatricsDemonstrated skill in Neonatal ResuscitationExperience in medical educationExperience in quality improvement is a plusThe candidate must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics at the time of hireAppointment and BenefitsThis position will be an ETSU non-tenure, clinical track faculty appointment (contingent on MEAC funding). Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will receive a full benefits package through ETSU.Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
