Our CIO seeks a transformative Head of Technology to lead a pivotal evolution in how technology empowers our people and operations. This executive will have strategic and operational ownership across three pillars: Global Infrastructure & Operations, Corporate Client Support & Employee Journey, and VIP Services & Internal Events.Beyond functional oversight, this position will be central to reimagining the organizational construct, ensuring the right capabilities are aligned at the right levels, with top-tier talent empowered to deliver excellence. This is a rare opportunity to shape the digital backbone of a luxury brand undergoing an ambitious technology transformation with a mandate to harmonize innovation, service culture, and operational excellence.To ensure the seamless integration of CHANEL TECH initiatives supporting divisional objectives, the US Head of Technology will collaborate with US Divisional leadership, Digital CX, and Brand Communications. This role will report functionally to CHANEL Global CTO and be part of the Global Infrastructure Services Extended Leadership Team and governance boards for Common Infrastructure and Digital Workplace Services.The ideal leader will bring at least 20 years of hands-on IT, Tech Service Delivery, and Infrastructure support experience, with a proven track record of leadership and innovation.What impact you can create at CHANELThe Head of Technology will elevate the IT function from a technology provider to a business solution provider through an enterprise mindset.StrategyFormulate the Regional IT Infrastructure Strategy considering the latest business needs and the Global IT Infrastructure Strategy.Plan for the “US Infrastructure of tomorrow”: a secured and scalable hosting strategy encompassing on-prem data center, cloud and edge computing to deliver internal and external services.Contribute to the Global Infrastructure Services strategy.Strengthen strategic partnerships with suppliers.Service DeliveryAim for overall stability and availability of CHANEL US infrastructure services (network, hosting, security) and resilience.Develop efficient internal services by leveraging global services and appropriate technologies.Elevate Corporate Support Service in line with the IT Transformation roadmap.Elevate VIP Service in partnership with GIS.What you will bring to the teamPlatform & Workplace Technology ExpertiseIdentity Management: Familiar with identity technologies including Microsoft Identity Manager and Azure Active Directory, OKTA, with strong authentication, RBAC, and identity governance expertise.ServiceNow Platform: Architecture, customization, and strategic deployment experience.Modern Workplace Technologies: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), Azure Active Directory (AAD), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Intune, and JAMF for cross-platform device management.Broad knowledge across IT domains: hardware lifecycle, software deployment, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and IT frastructure & Network LeadershipEnterprise Infrastructure: Experience overseeing global infrastructure operations including data centers, hybrid cloud, virtualization, and disaster recovery work Architecture & Security: Knowledge of routing/switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and zero-trust security frameworks.Cloud Strategy: Leadership in cloud migration and optimization across Azure, GCP, AWS with focus on scalability, cost-efficiency, and municationsStrategic Communication: Ability to translate complex technical strategies to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.Experience managing high-touch global leadership meetings with C-suite and stakeholders.Ability to build trust and deliver seamless technology experiences at the highest levels.Change Leadership: Drives adoption of new technologies and processes through vision and stakeholder buy-in.Strategic & Transformational LeadershipExperience leading large-scale transformations with automation and innovation across IT operations.Big-picture thinker attuned to macro trends and evolving novation mindset; capable of advancing new ways of working and delivering business value.Passion for infrastructure, tech, and digital employee experience in the luxury retail sector.Operational Excellence & Technical AcumenComplex problem solving and systems thinking to resolve infrastructure challenges and optimize digital employee experience.Experience in Infrastructure & Operations with knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and Information Security.Proficiency with VUCA methodology and vendor management.People Leadership & Organizational DevelopmentExperience building high-performing, cross-functional teams and developing talent pipelines.Leads with integrity, humility, and high standards; promotes risk-taking and learning from experience.Culturally savvy with conflict management across diverse backgrounds.Executive Engagement & Stakeholder ManagementExecutive communication and enterprise collaboration: translate initiatives into business value for diverse stakeholders.Strong presentation skills to senior leadership and business stakeholders.Skilled in regional and cross-cultural stakeholder management.Position LogisticsThe position is based in New York City, hybrid (3) days on-site at the CHANEL Manhattan Office. Some work required onsite in Piscataway, New Jersey.Minimum of 20 years of hands-on IT, tech service delivery, workplace platforms and infrastructure leadership experience; knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and cybersecurity preferred.Premium or luxury retail experience preferred.Bachelor’s Degree or higher in IT, computer science, information systems, business or similar required.Travel may be required.* Chanel, Inc. reserves the right to edit or change designations as circumstances pensationThe anticipated base salary range is $248,600-$300,000.
