Job Description

OverviewRobotics Engineer and Interdisciplinary Scientist – ARPA-H program support. As part of Booz Allen, you will conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes. You will work with world-class scientists and engineers to assess new technologies and support senior decision-makers, manage current programs, and help with the commercialization of developed technologies. You will support the research and development of robotic and unmanned systems across multiple operational domains and mission areas, manage incoming requirements, and engage with offices and across the agency to fulfill emerging client requests. ResponsibilitiesServe as a strategic technical advisor to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).Conceptualize, create, and execute government-funded R&D programs in robotics and unmanned systems.Produce and present findings and recommendations on feasibility and impact of future research programs.Assist with management of current programs and facilitate commercialization of technologies.Coordinate engagements within offices and across the agency; shift focus to fulfill emerging client requests as municate requirements and collaborate with senior stakeholders to support mission goals. QualificationsExperience interacting and communicating with senior-level executives (including SES or GS-15).Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination per client requirements.Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, CS, Robotics, or Biomedical Engineering with 5+ years of robotics/engineering experience, or Doctorate with 2+ years of robotics/engineering experience. Nice If You HaveProgramming in Python, C++, Java, MATLAB.Experience with circuit design, microcontrollers, and embedded systems in robotics.Sensor/actuator integration and data fusion for SLAM and planning.ROS or similar robotics software for simulation and communication between components.User-centered design in customer-driven engineering.Experience with ARPA-like programs or DoD advanced development programs.Knowledge of AI/ML for robotic decision-making.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Work ModelOur people-first culture prioritizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in person or remote. CompensationThe projected compensation range is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).
