OverviewLocust Walk is a global investment bank that integrates corporate development strategy and execution with capital raising for innovative life science companies of all stages. We partner with founders, executives, and board members through all aspects of corporate development across company, asset, and deal lifecycles. Through our extensive market intelligence interfacing with investors, large pharma, biotechs, and academic leaders, we have a deep understanding of how science and data translates into actionable transactions and business strategy.ResponsibilitiesExecute the Firm’s engagements, including strategic partnership deals, M&A transactions, capital raises, and strategic consulting engagements.Identify target partners, maintain contact logs and board update materials, produce deal marketing materials, perform financial valuation and comparable transactions analysis, and conduct deal modeling in support of negotiations.Receive significant responsibility and ownership over work, with opportunities to present to the firm and clients.Conduct strategic commercial assessments in support of deals, including discussions with key opinion leaders, analysis of secondary sources, full P&L models, and production of full commercial decks.Contribute to business development and maintain/update databases, while preparing thought pieces and analytics for marketing materials.Collaborate with senior deal team for professional growth and exposure to different transactions by varying team assignments across engagements.QualificationsBackgrounds in Business / Corporate Development at biotech/pharmaceutical companies, Strategic Consulting, R&D, Finance, Biology and/or STEM research may be relevant.Passion for life science transactions; some relevant industry experience preferred.Experience with transactions in the life science space (directly or in a supportive role) is helpful.First-rate education with a strong academic record; pursuing a degree in life sciences is terest in entrepreneurship and working with early-stage companies; 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.Basic understanding of financial modeling (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, DCF).Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to management, boards, and key opinion leaders.Demonstrated leadership or the ability to manage teams.Culture and ValuesEntrepreneurial, growth-oriented, with a focus on the success of others.High-performance culture, transparent and empathetic communication, and rigorous debate at all levels.Growth mindset, lifelong learning, and honest, bi-directional feedback.Entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to clients, integrity, and a balanced, collaborative environment.Enjoy the ride: hard work with a culture that values team cohesion and celebration of pensation and BenefitsCompetitive base salary with performance-based bonus potential.Bonus eligibility based on individual and firm prehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision) and a 401(k) match.Flexible vacation policy and nine official company holidays.Flexible work schedule (in-office Tuesday–Thursday).Location and RequirementsOffice: Boston, MA; U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required (U.S. only).Seniority level: Entry level.Employment type: Full-time.Job function: Business Development, Finance, and dustries: Biotechnology Research, Financial Services, and Investment Banking.For more information, visit the Locust Walk website. #J-18808-Ljbffr
