First American will always strive to be a great place to work, for all.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the planning and execution of day-to-day and period-end Treasury activities including managing the company’s banking relationships and activities, identifying cost-saving and profit maximizing opportunities and ensuring compliance with company, department and audit standards to maximize the protection of the company’s cash assets. Partners with the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer to create the vision, strategy and standards by which the Treasury department provides leadership and value to the organization. This critical role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting.What You'll ContributeManage the company’s banking relationships, including negotiating interest rates and bank feesManage the company’s banking activities, including the allocation of deposit balances and account structuresOversee the opening, closing and maintenance of bank accountsDevelop reports to assist with monitoring and managing the company’s liquidity and key cash management operating metricsLead and enhance internal processes to drive operational efficiency and to ensure compliance with internal policies, controls and proceduresEnsure compliance with regulatory requirementsDevelop and monitor treasury operational policiesMonitor and implement new bank technologies, products and servicesIdentify opportunities and implement treasury-related business process improvementsSupport special projects and acquisitionsTroubleshoot daily transaction issuesEffectively work with and support internal business partnersLead treasury system implementations and associated projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing financial systemsLead and mentor a high-performing treasury team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementCollaborate with operational leaders and executives to provide financial insights and analysis that drive business performanceDesign and implement robust processes and procedures to ensure business continuity and operational efficiencyDrive technology initiatives aimed at automating treasury operations, resulting in bottom line expense savingsCollaborate closely with finance and accounting teams on treasury-related economics, ensuring accurate analysis of actuals, forecasts, projections, and budgetsUtilize advanced Excel skills to create and maintain financial models, conduct cash flow analysis, and support decision-making processesAnalyze and interpret financial data to provide insights into liquidity and capital management and support strategic planning initiativesEnsure compliance with investor and agency guidelines and standards, as well as familiarity with NACHA standards in the management of funds movementsWhat You'll BringRequired Education, Experience, Certification/LicensureBachelor’s degreeAdvanced degree preferred10+ years demonstrated experienceTitle, escrow, and banking industry experience preferredExperience managing and operating in a highly regulated environmentCTP preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)Treasury knowledgeExperience with or exposure to banking, title and escrowKnowledge of banking systemsExcellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers and business partnersStrong analytical, financial and system skills, including advanced MS Excel skillsProven track record of managing teams and fostering a collaborative work environmentAdvanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and forecasting techniquesStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, and analysisExtensive experience with mortgage servicing software and familiarity with mortgage servicing funds movements and processesKnowledge of investor and agency guidelines and standards relevant to mortgage servicing operationsFamiliarity with treasury management systems and NACHA standards for electronic paymentsJob ComplexitiesWorks on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires significant originality and an in-depth evaluation of various factorsExercises extreme judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsTransaction issues can vary and are typically time sensitiveSupervisionMust be able to work independently and problem solve with little or no supervisionCould potentially manage up to 5 direct reportsImpactErroneous decisions could have a significant impact to the company’s financial position and operations due to the large balance of deposits that are managed by the Treasury departmentMakes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations’ achievement of objectivesResponsible for decisions and activities that impact other departments and external customersThe pay range for this role is $ 131,800.00 - $175,750.00This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
