OverviewThe Head of Global Treasury will report to the Principal Financial and Accounting Officer. This person will manage global treasury cash management operations, as well as assist in overseeing tax planning, compliance and reporting. This person will work with Accounting, Finance, Transaction Assurance, and Internal Audit for treasury operations company-wide. This position will be onsite in Grapevine, TX 5 days per week.Oversees enterprise-wide operational working capital settlement requirementsDevelops strategy for handling cash and liquidity needsReview investment opportunities and advise on opportunities in line with Investment PolicyEnsures timely and accurate cash paymentsReview FX exposure and implement programs to reduce volatility and risk as neededWorks in partnership with finance to ensure alignment with free cash flow results and forecastsManages intercompany settlement process. Maintains appropriate cash balances in respective bank accounts globally while minimizing foreign currency exchange lossesActs as main liaison on all cash management matters to Accounting, Finance, and other departments and business unitsLiaise with SEC Reporting on footnotes and disclosures for Treasury investment and foreign exchange sections of the Company’s SEC filingsPartner with IT to oversee company’s banking platform, ensure the setup meets SOX and applicable policyLeads ERP and treasury workstation initiativesEnsures adequate liquidity is available to fund working capital needs enterprise-wideManages and maintains effective, transparent relationships with the company’s banking partners, including communicating expectations with financial institution service providers and coordinates relationship reviewsLeads and ensures compliance with regulatory mattersOptimizes bank account structures and services to minimize fees and ensure operational efficiencyWorks in partnership with IT, Loss Prevention team and Transaction Assurance team to ensure alignment with Credit Card payment processor requirements and objectivesDevelop and execute global tax strategy to optimize profitability while mitigating riskOversee tax planning, direct and indirect compliance, tax provision and reporting (ASC 740)Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, local, and international tax regulationsDevelop and implement tax-efficient cash repatriation and transfer pricing strategies, including country-by-country reporting and documentationProvide guidance on M&A, restructurings, and other strategic transactionsManage relationships with tax authorities and oversee audits across federal, state, and international jurisdictions.Oversee business licensing team to ensure the company maintains good standing across jurisdictionsWork closely with treasury to manage tax-efficient repatriation, cash flow, treasury management, intercompany funding, and financingProvide input on capital structure, liquidity planning, and debt/equity transactionsPartner with FP&A and operational finance on forecasting, scenario modeling, and long-term planningDrive operational excellence, process improvements, and technology-enabled solutions within the PFO organizationServe as a trusted advisor to the PFO on tax, accounting, treasury, and finance mattersModel GameStop leadership values, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and integrityStrong record of strategic decision-making in treasury policy, global banking relationships, and capital structure (debt/equity strategy, credit ratings, etc.)Prior experience as a treasury leader at the enterprise level (Director, Senior Director, or VP) with exposure to board-level reporting, global liquidity, capital markets, and complex FX/hedging programsBasic Qualifications For ConsiderationBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting15+ years’ treasury experience7+ years of people management experienceKnowledge of finance, economics, accounting and statistical modelingPreferred Qualifications For ConsiderationCPA, CTP, AAP, CFA or other financial certification or licenseExperience in a similar role at a public companyRetail industry experienceKnowledge of back-end bank processing systemsWorking knowledge and understanding of banking products and servicesFull-time store positions at GameStop are also eligible to participate in incentive programs, health benefits, paid time off, 401 (k), employee discount and a casual work environment.
