OverviewRegional Sales Director, Central role at Dompé. Preferred Cities: Chicago and Minneapolis.Job SummaryThe Regional Sales Director reports to the Sr. Area Sales Director and provides leadership and strategic direction to a sales team of Key Account Managers. The Regional Sales Director is charged with achieving and exceeding performance objectives for Dompé's first ophthalmic product for patients suffering from neurotrophic keratitis. This is accomplished through effective coaching, appropriate utilization of resources and strong collaboration with key functions within Dompé and external business partners. A disciplined risk-taker who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment and capable of working effectively in such a setting is essential.This role requires front line tactical execution with robust strategic skills and involves collaboration with cross-functional partners, senior leadership and external customers. You will be expected to embody Dompé values: Integrity, Speed, Knowledge, Passion, Attention to Detail, Reliability, Flexibility and Teamwork.ResponsibilitiesRecruit and construct a high functioning team consisting of Key Account ManagersBe an expert in clinical data and provide direction for its useAssist in the development and implementation of incentive compensation plans for the Key Account ManagersCreate equitable regional and territory alignments and leverage internal tools to gain visibility into geographies and customer activities with a view to driving resultsActively manage and participate in national meetings, strategy meetings and professional society meetingsExercise judgment, integrity and equitable management practices for a diverse teamCollaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, Legal and Medical teamsBuild and maintain relationships with Key Opinion LeadersParticipate in cross-functional planning and lead national strategy meetingsAcquire, analyze and share market and competitive intelligence with marketing and sales teams and senior leadersDevelop business plans for assigned geographic area and implement national sales strategies and programsUnderstand market dynamics, set short and long-term objectives and provide metric analyses to determine trendsManage budget and allocate resources effectivelyExecute and manage Quarterly Business Reviews and contribute as an active member of the Dompé Leadership TeamCoach, mentor and develop future leaders; provide performance feedback and development plansConduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and skill assessmentsEnsure Customer Team activities meet regulatory, legal and industry guidelines and maintain high ethical standardsExperience and EducationBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferredMinimum of 3+ years of successful management experience in pharma/biotechPrior work with orphan/rare diseases and/or specialty marketsExperience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Marketing, Sales, Commercial Training and OperationsSkillsTechnical: Strong leadership, coaching and talent development; relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in ophthalmology; incentive compensation management; strategic thinking and problem solving; ability to articulate clinical concepts and data; track record of exceeding sales targets through othersPersonal: Strategic agility; decision making; collaboration and teamwork; communication, feedback and coaching; business knowledge; ability to influence without authorityLocationLives within the borders of the assigned territories.
