OverviewGilead is seeking a Regional Director, Sales HCV to represent Gilead's products to a defined customer base within Florida, lead a sales team, and achieve regional sales targets. The role includes in-person meetings with healthcare practitioners, training Specialists, and delivering disease awareness information and clinical updates. The Regional Director should synthesize market data to guide the team in alignment with national direction.This opportunity supports the Florida region.Primary Responsibilities:Exhibits leadership of the region and sets a standard of excellence within the organization.Demonstrates commitment to Gilead's inclusion and diversity efforts.Guides day-to-day activities of a diverse team with judgment, integrity, and equitable management practices.Develops and maintains relationships with key executives and decision-makers at major medical centers, clinics, and other accounts.Tracks and reinforces measures of sales force effectiveness to meet corporate sales objectives.Coordinates with leadership across Gilead functions on cross-functional projects.Analyzes and presents scientific/technical details with knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing and sales regulations and policies.Shares knowledge of product and disease state developments and considerations in product protocols.Provides counseling and coaching to the sales team to improve selling skills, product knowledge, customer focus, and time/resource management.Recruits, hires, and manages a team of specialists; creates learning plans and provides mentoring and coaching.Serves as a communication liaison between home office and region to address issues, opportunities, and competitive activities.Defines roles, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes for the specialist team; regularly measures success and provides feedback.Represents the company at professional events and promotes products there.Analyzes industry trends, competitors, and practices to inform activities.Leads cross-functional projects with broad organizational impact using strong project management skills.Demonstrates a proven track record in selling with technical knowledge, selling techniques, data interpretation, and industry municates business direction and vision to the region.Understands and communicates scientific/technical business information with awareness of marketing and sales regulations and policies.Demonstrates interpersonal and relationship-building, influencing, and negotiating skills.Guides human resource management issues and navigates complex people management challenges.Manages large projects and works with cross-functional teams; adheres to operational excellence for administrative work.Proven experience with product launches and/or product turnaround.Is regarded as an expert on industry trends and product/disease state knowledge, including pros and cons of product protocols.Represents Gilead’s products to a defined customer base and achieves sales targets; includes travel within the assigned area.Meets travel requirements as needed and fulfills onsite visitation requirements for healthcare practitioners, if applicable.Performs essential duties satisfactorily; accommodations available for individuals with disabilities where possible.Ensures compliance with Gilead commercial compliance policy and applicable laws and guidance related to product promotion and information dissemination.Ability to travel as reasonably required within the assigned area.Preferred Qualifications:1–2 years of relevant commercial experience in marketing, sales, or related function.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to set a vision, lead change, and coach/mentor others.Strategic thinker with ability to formulate and execute strategy.Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent interpersonal skills to lead, interact, resolve conflict, and drive consensus across diverse teams.Executive presence with sound business judgment and clear decision-making.Excellent written and oral communication skills.People Leader AccountabilitiesCreate Inclusion: recognize the value of diverse teams and embed diversity in management practices.Develop Talent: understand employees' skills, aspirations, and potential; provide feedback, growth opportunities, and coaching.Empower Teams: align goals and purpose with organizational objectives; remove barriers and connect teams to the broader ecosystem.Salary range: $205,615.00 - $266,090.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
