Position Summary We are seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee product engineering operations, quality control, and maintenance. This leader will drive innovation in new product development, manage engineering infrastructure, and ensure all internal systems run securely and effectively. The Director of Engineering will play a pivotal role in guiding our engineering teams while building great products and continuously improving our manufacturing processes. Primary Responsibilities Lead and mentor engineering, quality, and maintenance teams, driving professional growth and team success. Partner with the Chief Operations Officer, Director of Operations, and other leaders to establish long-range operating and manufacturing goals. Oversee new product development from concept through testing and production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate market potential for new products. Manage project timelines, ensuring milestones are met. Develop and implement efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes. Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste. Analyze production metrics and data to identify and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. Lead implementation of new equipment, automation, and technologies to strengthen manufacturing capabilities. Work with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment. Provide technical support to resolve complex manufacturing issues and optimize output. Enforce 5S procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety. Use CAD/CAM and CNC software to implement design changes, approve new products, and assist in floor programming. Review existing molds to enhance efficiency and production capacity. Research product defects and recommend quality modifications where needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in manufacturing engineering. Demonstrated success in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and project management. MUST have proven experience in thermoforming environments. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, fabrication, automation).
