OverviewThis position involves providing overall construction/business management direction for multiple projects to ensure client satisfaction, quality control, profitability, and on-time delivery. Primary responsibilities include understanding and communicating the client’s vision, managing owner and subcontractor contracts and documentation, advising on constructability, and upholding the company’s culture, mission and values.Base pay and compensationBase pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yrAdditional compensation types: Annual Bonus, RSUs, and Stock optionsResponsibilitiesAssist team in preparation of detailed estimates (conceptual, schematic, design development, construction) and/or oversee and/or prepare accurate preliminary construction budgets, including subcontractor scope letters, bids analysis, and final proposal presentation to client (team effort across BCCI).Ensure all estimates and budgets reflect actual project requirements; ensure an adequate number of qualified, financially sound subcontractor proposals are received and evaluated.Coordinate assembly of Preconstruction materials for owner presentations for each project phase.Provide clients with pricing packages, scope letters, and lead times; communicate quotes and budget status with subcontractors, Owners, and BCCI.Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams; promote cross-department collaboration.Stay current on construction methods, materials, costs, and wage trends.Verify site conditions through site surveys and advise on the best approach during preconstruction, coordinating with engineering or testing agencies as needed.Lead the transition and follow-up meetings between project operations and preconstruction teams to ensure clear scope understanding.Generate Owner contracts for review and approval by the Project Executive.Represent BCCI professionally, maintain project knowledge, prepare for meetings, and meet deadlines and commitments.Collaborate with on-site Superintendents to ensure projects are built on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards and client expectations.Adhere to company policies and identify process improvements to increase effectiveness and productivity.Contribute to the company’s culture, mission and values through leadership and actions.QualificationsConceptual estimating experience on midsized to large commercial building projects.Preferred 4-year degree in construction or architecture-related curriculum or equivalent experience.Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Preconstruction.Proficiency in estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, financial reporting, client relations, communication, leadership and organizational skills.Proficient in PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Timberline, Procore, Excel, Word).Note: While formal education is valued, transferable skills and relevant experience are strongly encouraged even if degree requirements are not met.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment described are representative of those required to perform the job.
