OverviewNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opportunity available for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead-Sr Staff Chief Engineer to join our team. This position is located in Baltimore, MD, and placement will be commensurate with qualifications.What You'll Get To DoThis individual will lead a cross-discipline engineering team typically greater than 25 people for a medium to high-risk project and interface with Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance.Roles & ResponsibilitiesLead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phasesSupport proposal development and new program acquisition effortsInterpret statements of work assigned by program leadershipDevelop and execute project budgets and schedules, including EVMS, critical path management, EACs, and workload forecastsInterface with functional departments to secure team staffingWork with suppliers and articulate project requirementsBrief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assignedPerform in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and diverse, collaborative assignments; candidates should be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented with effective verbal and written communication skillsThis position is contingent based on funding and contract award.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 14 years related experience, or a Master's Degree with a minimum of 12 years related experience, or a PhD with a minimum of 10 years related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.U.S. CitizenshipMust have a current/active Secret Clearance and be able to obtain special program accessMust be able to maintain the Secret clearance for continued employment8 years of engineering leadership experience in a team environment8 years of experience in development of complex RF or Digital systems and sub-systemsStrong understanding of the Design, Manufacturing or Test process8 years of experience developing and executing project schedulesPreferred QualificationsActive and current Top Secret government clearance is a plusPMP certification is a plusExperience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing EVMS projectsProven experience in the IPT Lead roleExperience in development of complex RF or Digital systems and sub-systemsExperience with Micro-Circuit (RFICs, IPAs) development, test & production technologyExperience with Front-End Device (FED) technologyCompensation and BenefitsPrimary Level Salary Range: $179,600.00 - $269,400.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; actual offers are determined by factors such as scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply. Long-term incentives may be available for certain roles.
