The Global Products Group (GPG) creates KLA’s metrology and inspection products. The RAPID division provides reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry, serving both mask shops and fabs to maintain high lithography yields.Job Description / ResponsibilitiesUtilize PLC controls to design and develop the safety system of state-of-the-art inspection platforms.Drive and contribute to feature development from requirements to delivery for mechanical or electrical automation needs under guidance of a senior engineer, adhering to industry best practices.Create and maintain electrical and mechanical schematics.Develop and install programs using automation software, SCADA software, and Python.Participate in formal and informal code and design reviews.Understand existing software architecture and apply it to further development, debugging, and improvements.Develop test criteria and test the system for efficiency, safety, and reliability.Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis for failures, and implement solutions.Collaborate with physicists, engineers, computer scientists, and external vendors to define automation and safety processes required.Occasional global travel to customer sites to support installations.Spend time in clean-room environments as needed (approximately 10–20%).Qualifications and Required Skills2+ years of programming in Rockwell Studio 5000 or equivalent software.Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC systems or equivalent.Excellent design, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Experience working in multi-developer teams.Excellent communication skills.Self-motivated to excel in assigned tasks and responsibilities.Curiosity, fast learning, and drive to turn prototype ideas into production-quality code for mission-critical applications.Preferred but not requiredCertified in Inductive Automation/'s Ignition SCADA software.Hands-on development in SEMI CapEx business segment.Minimum QualificationsMaster/'s Degree with 0 years related work experience; Bachelor/'s Degree with 2 years related work experience.Base Pay Range: $108,900.00 - $185,100.00 Annually.KLA/'s total rewards package may include performance incentives and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) with company matching, ESPP, tuition reimbursement, development and career growth programs, wellness benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and family terns are eligible for some benefits listed.
