Senior Vice President of Investment Accounting About the Company Reputable insurance company Industry Insurance Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking an SVP, Head of Investment Accounting to take on a pivotal role in overseeing the financial close and reporting cycle for a substantial investment portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of all financial activities related to the portfolio. This includes leading process improvements, implementing automation, and collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance portfolio analysis and reporting capabilities. The role also involves providing critical insights to support portfolio management and guarantee precise internal and external reporting. Applicants for this senior leadership position must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in investment accounting, with at least 7 years in a managerial capacity. A qualified accountant with a CA, CPA, CMA, CGA, or ACA designation is required. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of investment accounting, U.S. GAAP, and regulatory compliance, and a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams. Experience with a variety of investment types, including fixed income, publicly-traded equities, privately-held equities, and alternative investments, is essential. Expertise in SEC and U.S. GAAP reporting requirements specific to investments is a must, and working knowledge of the Clearwater Analytics investment system and Bloomberg is preferred. The role demands a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence and transformation initiatives while providing analytical insights and guidance to both investment management and finance teams.
