This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure solutions that support the business's growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing infrastructure security, performance, disaster recovery, and vendor management, and will play a key role in contributing to the organizational strategy to meet evolving business needs. As the VP of Engineering for the Platform Infrastructure team, the candidate will be expected to develop and execute a forward-thinking infrastructure strategy, lead the management of hybrid cloud infrastructure, and drive the development of custom-built storage software and exabyte-scale storage systems. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years of engineering experience, with at least 6 years in high-performance team management, and a strong background in balancing delivery with engineering quality, business acumen, and data-driven decision-making. The role requires a leader with a proven track record of building high-performing, empowered teams and a deep technical craft mastery in areas such as Python, React, Node.js, JavaScript, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Android development. A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include experience in startups, growth environments, and managing remote or globally distributed engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong execution bias, engineering discipline, and the ability to inspire a world-class engineering organization.
