The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the quant research and investments teams to design, build, enhance, and support a comprehensive portfolio optimization and back-testing ecosystem. This role requires a combination of hands-on development and leadership, including managing a team of software engineers and quantitative developers. The VP will be a key player in the QRIT leadership team, reporting to the Head of QRIT, and will be expected to bring a strategic and inspirational approach to people leadership. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a computational field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in financial services, particularly in asset management. The role demands a proven track record in team management, client engagement, and technical expertise in Python, micro-services, RESTful APIs, AWS cloud environment, CI/CD, and DevOps. Strong experience in system architecture, design patterns, and software engineering fundamentals is essential, as is an advanced understanding of data structures and experience in building and customizing portfolio optimization tools. The ideal candidate will also have a strong ability to capture requirements, influence decisions, and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
