Overview Location: Cedar Park, TXEmployment Type: Full-TimeTravel Requirement: Up to 40%, including overnight travel and emergency response About the Opportunity: Shermco is seeking experienced and motivated Senior Level Field Service Test Technicians (NETA 3/4) to join our team. In this role, you will travel to industrial and commercial customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and commission low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems (480V to 600kV). The ideal candidate is safety-focused, technically skilled, and thrives in dynamic field environments. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities * Perform inspection, testing, and troubleshooting on electrical power systems at customer job sites across the state and bordering states * Conduct instrument and power transformer testing, including Doble, TTR, and insulation resistance tests * Perform cable testing (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot) * Test and calibrate electro-mechanical and solid-state relays (preferred) * Troubleshoot and test automatic transfer switches, switchgear, and circuit breakers (low to high voltage) * Calibrate power metering and perform moderately complex relay testing * Accurately collect and document data for customer reports * Rotate on-call duty for emergency response and respond promptly to customer needs * Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company standards * Other duties as assigned that you are trained to do Qualifications Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electrical systems preferred * Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role or as a NETA Technician in the utility or electrical testing industry * NETA Level 2, 3, or 4 certification preferred (or equivalent experience considered) * Preferred: OSHA 30, MSHA, NFPA 70E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED certifications (training can be provided) * Strong understanding of electrical testing equipment and procedures * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams * Excellent communication skills to interface with clients and internal teams * Must be willing to travel regularly, including overnight stays, and respond to emergency call-outs * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE Shermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
