**Description:** You will be a Manufacturing Supervisor with our team in Archbald, PA/. Lockheed Martin's Archbald facility specializes in design, manufacturing, and engineering for both domestic and international customers/. The site is renowned for its awards and contributions to missile systems, nuclear instrumentation, and control products/. **What You Will Be Doing** Lockheed Martin is seeking a Welding Supervisor in Archbald, PA in the fabrication facilities/. As a Welding Supervisor, your duties will include: - Supervise manufacturing operators and accountable for all aspects of Quality, Schedule and Cost targets for multiple programs - Provide leadership, support, and daily direction to employees; motivate and foster teamwork to ensure quality and achieve business goals - Coordinate workflow, monitor schedule, and provide status reports to management - Interact effectively with other functional areas to support production goals for internal and external customers - Participate in and lead process improvement events; including supporting the Corrective Action Board - Work to solve process, tooling and quality issues - Conduct team communication sessions and training, including OJT, compliance and certification training - Drive initiatives that help achieve safety and environmental goals - Act as a role model for safe behavior and ensures all employees are held accountable to all policies and procedures - Conducts research and development investigations to develop and test new fabrication processes and procedures **Why Join Us** Joining our team means becoming a vital part of a mission that safeguards those who serve and protect our national security/. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance/. **Basic Qualifications:** - Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education - Able to read engineering drawings, blueprints and interpret/translate Manufacturing Instructions to employees - Experience in welding fabrication or supervision of welding fabrication - Ability to evaluate manufacturing defects, determine root cause, and develop concrete corrective and preventative actions - Demonstrated ability to give direction and follow up on action plans - Experience motivating employees and holding them accountable - Exceptional people skills - Must be a U/.S/. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U/.S/. DoD Secret Security Clearance **Desired Skills:** - Fabrication operations experience including CNC Machining, Assembly, Painting, Plating, Welding, Production Control and Quality Inspection - Green Belt or Black Belt Certifications in lean/six/-sigma to drive continuous improvement - Communication and decision/-making skills - Administration of and participation in periodic audits - Working Knowledge of such programs as Hazardous Waste Management, ESH Standards/Practices, FOD Control, Security, Supply Chain Management, and Time/Labor Accounting **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration/. **Clearance Level:** Secret **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match/.
