HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE: As the Director, Workforce Career Innovation, you will design and oversee career development programs that align with the organization's mission, focusing on clear pathways to employment and advancement for community members. You will foster a supportive environment for talent growth by developing resources, tools, and initiatives that empower individuals to progress in their careers. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to integrate career development strategies with the organization's overall talent management and workforce development objectives. Accountabilities: Build relationships with community partners, educational institutions, and local organizations to enhance program outreach and participation. Regularly assess and refine programs to meet evolving organizational needs and community goals, ensuring programs are impactful and inclusive. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for career development programs and regularly report on outcomes to senior leadership. Use data to identify trends, demonstrate impact, and drive program enhancements. Budgetary Accountability: Manage the department's budget, including allocating resources for program delivery, staff salaries, and community outreach initiatives. Ensure fiscal responsibility by tracking expenses, forecasting financial needs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining program quality. Monitor the delivery of career development programs, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and compliance with any relevant regulations or funding requirements. Evaluate program outcomes and make data-driven adjustments to meet evolving needs. WHAT YOU WILL NEED Education: Bachelor's Degree in Organization Development, Human Resources or related field Master's Degree preferred Certification/License: n/a Required Functional Experience: 7 years of experience in workforce development roles, career development, talent management. Required Management Experience: Three years leadership experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach to program design and evaluation. Ability to effectively analyze and recommend effective solutions to problems. High level of proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite or similar products. Expertise in leading projects which includes planning the key milestones of the project and identifying key project activities. Ability to develop proposals and successfully implement programs. Knowledge of workforce development planning, practices and techniques, including meeting with key stakeholders to ensure the success of projects and initiatives, as well as project financials. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Fast paced, long hours, ability to deliver results Professionalism and customer service skills at all times Occasionally subject to irregular hours This position requires some travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job. Virtual working environment with occasional in-person meetings, as needed.
