Project Manager - Drilling Division Syracuse, NY | Full-Time | $100,000-$130,000 About the Company Our client is a well-established engineering and geoscience firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, subsurface exploration, construction materials evaluation, and drilling services. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Drilling Division to oversee and lead a team of geologists, drillers, and field staff in Syracuse, NY. This is a senior-level role with responsibility for managing the planning, execution, financials, and quality of drilling operations across New York State. This is a pivotal position for a motivated leader who thrives in technical environments and wants to play a central role in shaping high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities Manage drilling operations, field crews, and subsurface investigations across multiple sites. Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring safety and quality standards. Act as primary liaison with clients, providing progress updates and resolving issues. Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, scopes, budgets, and technical reports. Conduct site reconnaissance, layout exploration locations, and coordinate with utilities and field teams. Support drilling operations with technical expertise in rig capabilities, methods, and field assessments. Lead and mentor staff while fostering a culture of safety and high performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology , or related field (Geology preferred). Minimum 5+ years of experience in drilling operations, geotechnical projects, or geological project management. Proven project management experience including financial and budget oversight. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites. Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred but not required. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
