Production Manager (Reading)

Our client is looking for a Production Manager to lead their Operations team in producing high-quality, sustainable rPET. This role oversees ~60 hourly employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. What Youll Do: Lead day-to-day operations to achieve production and quality targets Supervise and develop direct reports (engineer + specialist) Drive safety-first culture and enforce all protocols and standards Champion continuous improvement to reduce waste, downtime, and complaints Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, logistics, and quality teams Maintain accurate recordkeeping and ensure compliance with quality standards Coach and support supervisors on people management and policy adherence Partner with HR on hiring, training, and performance reviews Requirements: Bachelors degree preferred (Engineering or Technical discipline) 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing (plastics or recycling a strong plus) Strong knowledge of material flow, production scheduling, and safety management Demonstrated success leading teams and driving results across departments Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
