Attendance is expected and fully supported.Team/ Role Paragraph:As a key member of Coinbase’s S2P Team, the Senior Sourcing Manager will oversee the process of procuring real estate and related services. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sourcing strategy to acquire, lease, and manage a company/'s real estate portfolio. This manager will work closely with various internal departments to ensure that real estate decisions align with the company's business goals, financial objectives, and long-term strategy. The role is less about day-to-day transaction management and more about high-level planning, negotiation, and strategic relationship-building with brokers, developers, and other key partners.The role demands expertise in managing internal teams, vendor relationships, and financial risk mitigation strategies, while embodying Coinbase’s values: Act Like an Owner, Clear Communication, Customer Focus, Efficient Execution, Continuous Learning, and Positive Energy.What you’ll be doingJob duties include leadership, strategic management, vendor relations, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement to optimize the real estate portfolio.Responsibilities and activities:Team Leadership: Ensure the real estate portfolio strategy aligns with Coinbase/'s business needs, growth objectives, and financial targets.Strategic Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all real estate matters, including office location and space strategy and portfolio optimization; serve as the primary representative for high-stakes real estate negotiations and communications with landlords, brokers, and developers.Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with commercial real estate brokers, property management firms, and other third-party vendors; ensure partnerships align with financial goals and compliance standards; serve as the escalation point for critical real estate issues.Risk Mitigation: Develop and deploy a risk mitigation strategy for the entire portfolio; ensure compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements; partner with Legal, Finance, and Information Security teams for due diligence.Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate real estate decisions and portfolio strategy to senior leadership and cross-functional teams; collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR, and IT to ensure smooth execution of leases, acquisitions, and facility management.Continuous Improvement: Drive adoption of best-in-class real estate sourcing and portfolio management practices; foster innovation through tools and technologies for market analysis and space utilization.What we look for in youEducation & BackgroundBachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and project management, including 5 years in commercial real estate.Skills & ExpertiseProven ability to manage and negotiate complex commercial real estate leases, acquisitions, and multi-million dollar vendor contracts (e.g., brokerage agreements, property management).Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with experience in financial modeling, market analysis, and problem-solving for real estate transactions.Experience leading large-scale real estate projects with cross-functional teams.Expertise in real estate portfolio management software, lease administration platforms, and risk mitigation for property transactions.Leadership & CommunicationAdvanced commercial real estate negotiation skills with the ability to influence Legal, Finance, HR, and other cross-functional teams.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience delivering data-driven real estate recommendations to executive leadership.Nice to havesFamiliarity with sourcing and spend management technologies; training or experience in commercial real estate law, lease review, and/or contract negotiation.Experience driving real estate strategies for a remote-first company.Experience in the crypto or fintech space.Pay and BenefitsPID P72537Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below.
