OverviewThis role is based at our corporate office in McLean, VA or Remote.This is your chance to be on our Development team who play a large part in driving Hilton's growth strategy through the addition of new hotels to our ever-growing portfolio.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will also include:Negotiate the renewal of management agreements and relicensing. This includes documenting and securing appropriate internal approvals in the global deal approval process, and drafting management agreements for new development deals once terms have been agreed and oversee distribution of agreements to relevant parties.Provide support to resolve owner-related issues, reviewing management contracts with legal and VP assistance to settle disputes, and addressing owner-reported concerns by communicating with operations teams and responding promptly.Manage the entire hotel transition process for all managed hotels, ensuring seamless transitions, communicating effectively with all parties, and compliance with legal agreements. This includes analyzing purchase, sales and management agreements and mitigating risks, and refining procedures.CollaborationServes as the primary liaison with Ownership, Buyer, third-party Managers, SVPs, AVPs Quality Assurance, Franchise Administration, Development, Operations Finance, Brands, Revenue Management, IT, and any other department involved in the hotel transition, agreement renewals, problem resolutions, and other processes.Drive the completion of critical actions to support smooth and successful transitions or transactions, while continuously refining and improving processes in itiativesDevelop owner relationships through strategic meetings, orientations, and webinars, including conducting owner orientation meetings and webinars, preparing updated presentations, and scheduling key owner meetings throughout the year.Provide analysis on NPV of new agreement terms, negotiated franchise deals, forecasts, budgets, hotel trends, hotels at risk for cash shortages, lender defaults, performance triggers and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and exposure.What we’re looking forSuccess will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:Lead complex negotiations that drive value to Hilton.Experience with building consensus, developing relationships, and driving alignment across stakeholders.Creative and effective problem-solving, maintaining flexibility, professionalism, and integrity in navigating challenges.QualificationsTo fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:Ten (10) years of work experience.Five (5) years of work experience within the hotel industry.Knowledge of hotel operations, market demand fundamentals, hotel capital expenditures, and hotel financial processes and analysis.Travel up to 50% (if applicable).Bonus capabilitiesDiverse experiences including Hotel Real Estate, Hotel Operations, and Sales & Marketing, especially in the full service/upscale segment.Knowledge of management and franchising agreements, real estate terminology, and transactions.Five (5) years or more of leadership experience and demonstrated managerial and relationship building skills.What is it like working for Hilton?Hilton is proud to support the mental and physical wellbeing of all Team Members so they can Thrive personally and professionally in a diverse and inclusive environment, thanks to our benefits such as the Go Hilton travel program, employee stock purchase program, and paid time off including parental leave.Hilton, the #1 World's Best Workplace, is a leading global hospitality company with a diverse portfolio of world-class brands. The annual salary range for this role is $145,000 - $210,000 and is determined based on applicable experience and location.
