Site Commissioner - Santa Monica State Beach

OverviewVolo is seeking a Commissioner at the Weekday Garrison Elementary School location. The Commissioner is responsible for maintaining Volo standards at all soccer league events at the school. Must be available Saturday and Sunday from 9am-4pm.ResponsibilitiesOversee adult soccer, volleyball, flag football, kickball leagues and pickup gamesPrepare the venue space for incoming leagues: equipment, field setup/breakdown, shirts, check-in stationsMaintain equipment, noting damages, and report to the market’s equipment leadSet up and take down fields, gather and store equipmentCheck in players using the host appSupervise on-field hosts and referees as neededStep in to referee games when neededResolve emerging problems that customers might face with accuracy and efficiencyDeescalate any situations that might ariseSupport trainings for part-time hosts as well as all internal refereesRecruit, mentor, and ensure quality staff and productPromote sponsor bar, events and upcoming leagues via on-field sellingHelp distribute marketing materials and assist with brand activationsExecute fundraising activities for kids foundation with the support of league hostsEncourage and maintain a quality experience throughout the leagueQualificationsExcellent oral communication skillsAbility to work in varying weather conditionsWork well in a team atmosphereAbility to multi-task and make decisions under pressureAbility to lift and carry 30-50 poundsPositive, solution-oriented mindset with clear communicationMust be available to work eveningsProficient customer service skillsHigh School Diploma / GED Equivalency21 years of age or olderCompensationPay Range: $23 - $27/hourAdditional InformationVolo is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that proudly pursues and hires a diverse workforce.
