This role supports the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. The position requires on-site work with no remote option and does not include relocation assistance.Essential FunctionsDesigning, developing, testing, certifying, and delivering secure systems as part of an integrated Cybersecurity teamPerforming unit-level, art-level, and solution-level release testingManaging testing activities at the Cyber Test Facility (CTF)Utilizing knowledge of cybersecurity tools, patch management solutions, and security auditing tools to develop secure system designsProviding input and interpretation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, including success criteriaWriting concise test steps, generating technical documentation, and maintaining adherence to Common Criteria, NIST, and NIAP methodologiesCollaborating with systems engineers, software developers, and network engineersLeveraging change and configuration management systems to coordinate updates and maintain version controlUnderstanding RMF and interpreting requirementsFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and automated testing frameworksExperience implementing best practices in Common Criteria, NIST, and NIAP methodologiesWriting test cases and creating relevant technical documentationSolving complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativityShowing ability to work with minimal supervision and deliver results aligned with objectivesExperience in project leadership roles, representing the organization as primary customer contact on significant technical mattersStrong communication skills to engage with interdisciplinary teamsBasic QualificationsA Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s with 6 years; or a PhD with 4 yearsActive DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application and able to startActive DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, CISSP, etc.)Experience with tools such as ACAS, HBSS, ArcSight, Endgame, CyberArk, ICAP, MFA, BitLocker, WSUS, BigFixExperience with operating systems including RHEL Linux, Windows 10, Windows ServerRBAC patching experience including AD, GPOs, and BigFixPreferred QualificationsAgile experience (Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agilest)Knowledge of STIGsExposure to test automation frameworksFamiliarity with scanning and network assessment tools; experience with Ansible and vulnerability scanning solutionsWhat We Can Offer YouNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that supports growth and success.
