With over 2,500 team members nationwide, Pearce supports critical infrastructure across the United States.Your ImpactThe Telecommunications Central Office Lead Installer – Level IV will provide detailed installation, re-configuration/integration, removal, and maintenance of Carrier Central Office equipment including Transmission, Power, Infrastructure and Fiber systems with minimal supervision. This role requires supervision of assigned crew members and their performance.ResponsibilitiesMust have mastered all installation skills per Telco Standard TP76300 and be able to perform all the duties of the Installer Level 4 as a Working Lead with assigned team members.Mastered installation skills on a wide variety of systems including AC/DC Power, low/high-density fiber, Central Office Infrastructure, and supervisory/alarm stallation knowledge and experience with transport equipment including Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, Juniper, etc.Deep understanding of fiber installation standards and procedures.Prior experience leading installation projects.Ability to read and follow Method of Procedures, order specifications, floor plans, equipment, and wiring documentation.Ability to interface with customers, vendors, and other company employees; turn-up and integration system testing skills may be required.Ability to supervise lower-level Installers/Technicians in basic installation and testing requirements.Understand company policies and safety procedures; review subordinate time and expense documentation for accuracy and ply with system update requirements of all installation documents, read and apply job/equipment specifications, and generate MOPs, high-risk activity reports, work schedules, and project completion reports.Perform in-process and final quality audits to ensure items meet or exceed standards.Work AutonomyBe capable of performing the following activities without supervision: place, remove, or modify equipment; install cable trays/racking; install telecom equipment, cabinets, data servers, switches, routers, repeaters, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, and firewalls; install DC power systems and associated cabling; identify, label, terminate, and route cables; perform system power up and integration activities; perform daily quality validation; perform other duties as requested.Core ExperienceMinimum 8+ years installation experience or combination of experience and training as determined by management. Prior leadership experience required. Qualifications include: high school diploma with two years technical school or equivalent; strong problem-solving and communication skills; proficient laptop skills with MS Office; ability to travel; valid driver’s license; passport a plus; and 100% employer-paid expenses. Travel may be domestic or international. Eligibility for company vehicle, per diem, and other compensation components depending on role.Physical/Work EnvironmentMust comply with OSHA standards. Able to lift up to 50 lbs; able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.
