Engineer Project Manager (Water/Wastewater)Location(s): Seattle, WA; Bellevue, WA; Woodinville, WA; Olympia, WA; Tacoma, WASalary: $100,000 - $170,000/Year DOEWork Schedule: Flexible 9/80 work scheduleOverviewDEA's Puget Sound Market is looking to hire an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager whose primary focus will be the development of business relationships, sales and project delivery for existing and new municipal water and wastewater clients in the Puget Sound Market. This leadership position will help build and grow our Water/Wastewater Practice in Puget Sound and will utilize expertise in municipal engineering projects, including water and wastewater system planning, potable water supply, conveyance and storage design; sanitary conveyance (gravity and pumped systems) and treatment design; hydraulic modelling analysis and design; preparation of infrastructure feasibility studies and master plans; preparation of engineering and construction plans, specifications and estimates; coordination with regulatory agencies for project permitting.ResponsibilitiesPotable, raw and recycled water delivery system management and master planningGroundwater supply systems, including well designConveyance system design, including potable water pipelines, pump stations and reservoirsWater supply analyses, including water supply assessments and master planningPressurized system hydraulic analysesWater quality analysis and treatment, including potable water systems, wastewater treatment and advanced water quality treatment for indirect and direct reuseSewer system management and master planningCollection system design, including sewer pipelines (gravity and pumped systems), lift stations and combined systemsOperational controls, including SCADAThe responsibilities for this role will be diverse and will include participating in both Business Development activities and Operational Management, ideally out of DEA's Bellevue office. The position will report directly to DEA's Water/Wastewater Practice Leader and will coordinate with the Water and Environment Business Unit (WEBU) Puget Sound Market Leader and other service lines and business units.Business Development ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the full relationship and overall client experience of clients in the Water/Wastewater marketDevelop significant new business, lead client teams and cross-business unit selling, assess client technology trends, and perform client sales forecastingManage the overall client experience and build, maintain, and deepen client relationshipsMonitor project manager performance on their client's projectsConduct client experience surveysCoach project managers on client expectations and provide feedback on project manager and delivery team performance, including removing underperforming project managers or staffEngage in project recovery and support collections as neededCoordinate with the Market Leader to identify and pursue Water/Wastewater-specific project opportunitiesMake go/no-go decisions and determine pursuit staffing and teaming partnersResponsible for client profitability, favorable contract terms, revenue forecasting, and the client sales resultBasic QualificationsBS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in environmental engineering, civil engineering, and/or water/wastewater system analysis and designRegistered Professional Engineer in WashingtonStrong written and verbal communication skills15+ years of experience in the delivery of water/wastewater engineering projects5+ years in a business development role with clients in the Puget Sound marketPreferred Qualifications20+ years of experienceExperience working with local special purpose water/wastewater agencies and municipalities, as well as other local, state and federal regulatory agenciesExperience with water and sewer master planningExperience with Washington water and wastewater codes, Washington DOE and DOH regulations, Washington's implementation of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, and other relevant regulationsProficient in common engineering software packages, including: Civil3D, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and ExcelBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life InsuranceHealth Savings and Lifestyle Spending Account with employer contributionSupport for continuing education and training opportunitiesPaid Time Off (PTO)/Holiday Pay401k and Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)Flexible 9/80 (every other Friday off) work scheduleHolistic Wellbeing Program with a focus on physical, emotional, financial, career and community healthOpportunity for growth with support and mentoring to help with professional goalsPotential salary range for this position is $100,000-$170,000 depending on experience and location #J-18808-Ljbffr
