OverviewLeidos is seeking a Lead Engineering Technologist to provide project and administrative support for electric utility design engineering. This position is hybrid in nature, with some time spent working out of a Seattle, WA office, and some time spent working remote. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with electric distribution projects for electric utilities, and will be familiar with permitting processes.ResponsibilitiesAdministering and generating Joint Use finesGenerate and manage transfer notifications through Alden OneCreate and assign SCL WAMS asset numbers for new assets and projectsIntake, process and manage engineering as-builtsProcess and manage ROW permitting applications for several jurisdictionsIntake, approve and process customer applicationsInvestigate Alden One and WAMS for pole replacement work orders and transfer statuses related to the Double Pole projectManage Master Pole Attachment Agreements and maintain Certificates of Insurance for over 150 Wireline customersCompile and generate billing reports for accounting, who subsequently issues invoices to Joint Use customersCollaborate with Cost Accounting and P&CM to accurately assign invoices to billable work ordersIssue permits for Joint Use and Wood Pole Design Team, ensuring they are officially authorized and compliant with regulationsConduct thorough research and take necessary actions to address and resolve customer complaints effectivelyCreate comprehensive internal and external reports and metricsGenerate reports to identify work orders ready for closure in WAMSMonitor and address Customer Called completes, with a backlog of 9 months on inspections and overdue customer final close-outs from previous yearsPlot, research and field quarter section maps (ability to work in all weather conditions required)Background RequirementsCompleted Associate's degree or higherA minimum of 5 years of project coordinating, administrative or other closely related experienceCandidates with previous experience working directly at an electric utility or in a consulting environment for electric utilities are highly desirableAbility to provide your own reliable transportation, as a portion of your time will be spent working in an officeAbility to demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skillsDemonstrated experience with customer-facing activity/responsibilitiesDemonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Professional AttributesCollaborative attitude and inclusivity of individuals of diverse backgrounds and geographic locationsAbility to work with limited supervisionPositive attitudeProfessional dress and demeanorAt Leidos, we pride ourselves on being a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider.
