Overview Work type: CE - Clinician Educator, University Medical Line Location: Stanford University Categories: School of Medicine The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University seeks individuals who have completed training in anesthesiology to join the department at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator Line or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the University Medical Line. Academic line and rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The department is interested in individuals with training and experience in Cardiac Anesthesia, OB Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pain Management, Critical Care Medicine, Regional Anesthesia, or anesthesia-related research. The department is actively recruiting Clinician Educators for these divisions: Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, Multispeciality Anesthesia, Pediatric Pain Medicine, and Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia. Responsibilities The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Qualifications The successful candidates must have an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent, be board-certified or eligible for certification, and eligible for a California medical license or exemption. The successful applicants will spend a portion of time in clinical anesthesia. Compensation and benefits The expected base pay range for this position is: Assistant Professor: $447,000–457,000 Associate Professor: $471,000–$481,000 Professor: $494,000–$515,000 This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
