OverviewHead ReviewerIn-Person, Capitol Hill, Washington D.C. Employment Type: Full-Time Clearance Level: Public Trust (U.S. Citizen)We are seeking a highly capable Head Reviewer to lead a legal document review team supporting a large-scale federal project related to healthcare regulation and compliance. This role requires strong legal judgment, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage both people and legal review protocols in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal law and regulation, experience interpreting complex legal materials, and the leadership skills to drive consistent, high-quality output across a 15-person review team. You’ll oversee workflows, establish and enforce review protocols, and serve as the primary point of legal and operational escalation. Experience with FOIA workflows or disclosure reviews is preferred. Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of 15 Legal Reviewers, overseeing quality, performance, and adherence to review protocols. Draft, interpret, and maintain legal review standards and workflow documentation. Provide legal guidance and issue resolution on complex or ambiguous review cases. Review and approve legal determinations involving document redactions, classifications, and annotations. Monitor daily and weekly team metrics to ensure consistent productivity and accuracy. Manage secure, efficient use of proprietary review platforms and data repositories. Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process updates. Ensure all work complies with confidentiality, security, and legal integrity standards. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) required. 3–5 years of experience in legal, regulatory, or administrative law contexts. Strong ability to interpret and apply complex legal and regulatory material. Experience managing or supervising legal or compliance teams. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. High comfort level with digital workflows and proprietary tools. Able to work full-time on-site in a structured, high-security environment. Required Skills Strong legal judgment, excellent attention to detail, leadership skills, ability to manage workflows, and experience with FOIA workflows or disclosure reviews. Preferred Skills Experience interpreting complex legal materials and managing legal or compliance teams.
