The chosen candidate will part of a team of industrial maintenance professionals working in a print manufacturing facility.Daily responsibilities:Install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment. Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams that specify where wiring, fixtures, and controls are installed or are to be hooked up and show the type of wiring, fittings, and equipment installed or to be used.Skill needed to rearrange old or install new outlets, relays, switches, and light fixtures in existing systems, and to test circuits to see if they are complete after making repairs or installations.Must have skill in the use of hand tools and portable power tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, strippers, drills, soldering irons, and manual or power conduit benders and threaders, and a limited variety of test stalls and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.QualificationsCandidates that possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities have shown to be successful in this position.Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment and machineryThorough knowledge of the construction, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of sophisticated circuitry and controls associated with unique projectsAdvanced knowledge of equipment and machine control in sufficient depth to trace symptoms of equipment malfunction and distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures from those which are electrical or electronic.Ability to formulate the layout sketch of required electrical circuits, wire new test setups, install strain gauge circuits and recording instruments as needed by the test program to measure performance of test articles, check the installed system to insure that specified electrical test conditions are attained, and may troubleshoot the electrical portions of the test equipment during test programs to determine cause of malfunction.Thorough knowledge of the construction, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of sophisticated circuitry and controls associated with unique projects.Knowledge and ability to anticipate and respond quickly to danger signs as they become evident through intricate warning systems to avoid loss of time and expensive equipmentMust have skill in the use of hand tools, power tools and test equipment needed to perform job effectivelyKnowledge of electronics to electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and transistorsAble to make precise adjustments for alignment, parallelism, and concentricity due to the continuing effects of malfunctions throughout the entire machine or equipmentAble to perform precise measurements of air and fluid pressure and flow, and knowledge of the mechanisms used to convert such readings into measurable unitsAble to interpret complex multi-view drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, manufacturers' specifications, and other technical material to isolate malfunctions in such devices as hydraulic pumps and motors, mechanical clamping devices, and electric or hydraulic axis drive and positioning systemsAdvanced knowledge of construction and assembly techniques and the ability to manufacture replacement parts with complex configurations or assemble unique devices with unusual angular relationshipsKnowledge of geometry, shop mathematics, and handbook formulas to provide for surfaces with interrelated dimensions and to calculate angles, clearances, fits, pressure, flow, and other parameters of interestPrevious manufacturing experience preferredRequired Experience:Associates degree in Electronics or closely related field.Experience in troubleshooting using schematics and ladder diagrams, PLC programming, 480V three phase wiring, and electric puter experience and knowledge required. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential $2 more for 2nd shift, $3 more for 3rd shift, call-in, and stand-by pay.
