Join us and put your passion, determination, and skill to work building the future! #TheFutureIsBuiltHere #ChangeTheWorld BGS Central Maintenance Computing System (CMCS) team in either Hazelwood or Berkeley, Missouri has immediate and exciting opportunities for a Mid-Level CMCS Electronic System Design and Analysis Engineer to support multiple critical programs.The electrical design work will be in support of developing maintenance equipment to include connections between equipment and aircraft subsystems, network infrastructure, and computing hardware supporting instrumentation and network system connections. Additionally, the engineer will provide support for fabrication, installation/connection, and required verification to deliver a ready-for-test setup. The equipment and software for the CMCS is used to support all phases of platform/weapon development and sustainment lifecycle. This individual will work in a team environment to develop, test, and repair the hardware design for the CMCS system.The Electronic System Design and Analysis Engineer in this role works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, and then analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications; performs tests and validations to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements, as well as monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements and solves problems concerning other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle, while researching specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.Position Responsibilities:Hardware/software integration supportDesign and documentation of electrical systems, components, connections, and interfacesSystem schematic analysis and designSystem requirements analysis and developmentSystem selloff/verificationSystem test requirements analysis and development interface designDevelop electrical wiring required to adapt to test articles & sub-assembliesSupport of lab or flight test instrumentation and data acquisitionSelection of electrical hardware (cables, connectors, shielding, terminal blocks, etc.)Installation support and collaboration with lab test personnelSupport of problem resolution associated with fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycleUtilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and mathematical modeling and simulation to develop system definitions/architectures and perform trade studies (includes integration with interfacing engineering disciplines model-based design toolsets) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science3+ years familiarity with electrical avionics system design including electrical systems and subsystems design, interface cable design between electrical system and platform, electrical hardware/software integration, coordination with vendors for part selection, and general test experience to do hardware/software testing of the system in a labExperience or knowledge of VPX/VME form factorExperience or knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards, protocols and/or interfaceTechnical system domain knowledge (e.g. air vehicle and/or weapons)Experience with product/systems development and integration Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active U.S. Security ClearanceExperience or knowledge of cyber security principles or cyber certificationsExperience or knowledge of network designExperience or knowledge of common military standards used in hardware design and testing (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472, etc.)Experience with CAD and creating electrical schematicsExperience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. DOORs, CAMEO, earned value management).Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)CompTia Security + Certification Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies .Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
